With Degrees in Television & Radio Communications and Public Relations from Brooklyn College, where the likes of New York's most influential in media recruit for their organizations, Vanessa Gyan, the daughter of the late Kiki Gyan of famed group Osibisa, has brought her education, knowledge and international experience to the Ghanaian media industry. Since her big move to Ghana six and a half years ago, Vanessa has made her imprint in various sectors. Vanessa launched the Sincerely, Vee brand, which after three seasons of premiering the self-produced 'Sincerely, Vee' show at eTV Ghana, has quickly making an impact on young girls and women not just in Africa but globally. During past seasons of The 'Sincerely, Vee' Show, the likes of former First Lady of Ghana, Mrs. Rawlings, current Vice-President of Liberia, Mrs. Jewel Taylor, Gifty Anti, Toke Makinwa, and many more, honored their invitations and were featured on the show. Vanessa Gyan quickly grabbed the attention of many, as part of the EIB family, Gyan was hand picked to represent EIB at the 2016 BET Awards held in Los Angeles, California, where she interviewed the likes of Karrueche Tran, Bonang, Fantasia and many other high-profile celebrities. Gyan hosted Live From The Capital, Trace Radio and The Juice on Live 91.9.In 2016, Vanessa launched the Sincerely, Vee Foundation. Within the first two years of the foundations start, it has aided two young ladies in continuing their education, collaborated with SOF Ghana at the Dzorwulu Special Needs School where they spent quality time with the students and gave back to the school. Sincerely, Vee foundation has also grown to help mothers and moms to be on their journey of motherhood through The Post Pregnancy Boujie Express. In 2017, Vanessa launched The Post Pregnancy Boujie Express at Ridge Hospital in Accra. Her goal is for moms-to-be and postpartum women to be reassured they aren’t alone on the journey of motherhood, while educating them on self-care, breastfeeding, CPR and more. A goal, which has been accomplished during the past five editions. The SV Foundation also assists in the payment of discharge bills for financially distressed post partum patients admitted to various hospitals in Accra. In 2019, the mom of one was named a WaterAid Ghana WASH Ambassador; WaterAid is an international non-profit organization that was set up in 1981 as a response to the UN International Drinking Water & Sanitation decade. In March of 2019, Vanessa moderated three impactful sessions for the United Nations during Africa Climate Week. Vanessa Gyan received her first ever award as she was named Radio Personality of The Year at the 2019 Ghana Outstanding Women Awards for her passion and impact on the lives of Ghanaian women through her philanthropy projects. In 2020, Gyan was featured on The United Nations Foundation’s newly launched #EqualEverywhere campaign for her dedication, efforts and passion for gender equality. Vanessa Gyan’s career continues to bloom as everything she touches turns to gold.
