Tea Time Tuesday's: Dining In NYC Just Got Pinker....

I'm such a lover of the color pink. I've been a girly girl my entire life and it's even taken over my adulthood. From pink notebooks to just about pink everything and i'm not shy to say it (LOL). While randomly on Instagram last week, I noticed tv personality Adrienne Bailon photographed at a restaurant which was all pink and the first thought in my mind, 'I have to find this restaurant'. I immediately told my sister, Arnelle, and guess what? We made our way there the next day. It was a perfect brunch date at While We Were Young located in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The pink ambiance was just everything and more. The staff paid attention to every customer. The music kept you in a smiling mood.

We sure did fill our belly's though. My sister and I opted for the Truffle Wheatberry Mac & Cheese as a starter and let me tell you, it was delish, so delish. Quite filling also. Next up, the main course for our brunch. My sister chose the Maine Lobster which included roasted baby fennel, roasted fingerling potatoes, brussels and pernod vingaigrette. YUMMY. For my main course, I chose the Kobe Burger. The breakdown?  Brioche, crispy onions, pickles, aged cheddar, chipotle aioli and house fries. Mouthwatering! But wait, there's more. Our dessert was the icing on the cake; the key lime pie was to die for.  The names of their cocktails are also super cute, I sipped on a virgin While We Were Young cocktail which is their signature drink.

My sister Arnelle and I spent about two hours at While We Were Young and I loved that fact that not only was the environment so relaxing but at no point did we feel rushed. We got to really enjoy our brunch date.

So, if you're in New York, you definitely want to make your way to While We Were Young!
