Are You Living A Purposeful Life?

Have you found your purpose?

This has been on my mind for a while now. What is my purpose? The glitz and the glam of being "known" are just a bonus to what I have to offer the world, that I know for sure. It allows me to have a platform to do more, to touch lives on a magnitude that I pray about daily. I've realized each time I give back, each time I lend a helping hand, each time i'm able to put a smile on someone's face, I feel fulfilled. Even if it's one person that is being inspired, advised or helped in any type of form, I feel as though my purpose is greater than even I know.

I look back to years ago when I studied Speech Pathology and how excited I would go home knowing I dedicated my time and knowledge in helping someone build their speech after suffering a stroke or a child with a language disorder. Even if it were one or two words that we perfected that day, I knew it was a major deal for the person whether an adult or child. PURPOSE!

As each day passes and as I pray, I am becoming more aware of my purpose. A lot of the times what we think we are on this earth for isn't it but with prayer, your eyes will be opened. PURPOSE!

Almost 10 years ago, Sincerely, Vee was born. I knew I wanted it to be a safe haven for both young girls and women to share their experiences. Did I ever think it would grow to the capacity it has? I always dreamt about it but God is showing me he has huge plans for Sincerely, Vee. I'm proud for SV to be THAT place where women/girls from different walks of life feel comfortable telling their stories. PURPOSE!

When I spent time at the Dzworlulu Special School in Accra a few months back seeing how elated the children were to have someone to talk to and take pictures with and having one-on-one time with them, there is no greater feeling than knowing I left a piece of me with them. PURPOSE!

I DEFINITELY KNOW MY PURPOSE IS TO BE OF SERVICE TO OTHERS!

Purpose isn't about being perfect. Purpose is knowing what your calling is and not being afraid it. Purpose is living YOUR most authentic life. You begin to understand that you can't buy happiness. You don't compete and you are more focused on the bigger picture.

"Ultimately you’re trying to improve your life. You want more zest, more flavor, more fullness. In the strictest sense you want to become a better person. You want to wake up in the morning excited, jumping out of bed with a thirst for life that you haven’t felt since you were a child. Your purpose can be the driving force of this. Your purpose can be your connection to something larger, something that will allow you to make your mark on the world, to truly make a difference." - Unknown

I'll leave you with this, finding your purpose will shape your destiny!
