Woman Crush Wednesday: "I'm Not Afraid of Anything." - Bozoma Saint John (UBER's Chief Brand Office
She's trending and she has every right to be.
Bozoma Saint John has been named UBER's first Chief Brand Officer. Yes. You heard that right. Not only is she a woman (heyyyyyy!) but guess what? She's Ghanaian.
With UBER being under fire and it's image plagued by reports of sexual assault and scandal, Bozoma was hired last month to rebrand the company's image. Prior to joining the UBER family, the 40-year-old was a Marketing Executive at Apple Music.
With all eyes on her, Bozoma is ready for the job. In a recent interview with Gayle King, the Ghanian native stated, "Well, I’m not naive about that at all. And by the way those things are very serious. Again it’s about trying to be the representation for what I want to see. You know, I want change." Followed by, “I want things to be great for people of color and for women. For us to be able to show up at work, do our best work, and be appreciated for that work. There’s gonna be lots of challenges … But I’m hopeful."
