Dawn Richard Releases New Album, "New Breed"; Tops The Charts!

After much anticipation, Dawn Richard has released her fifth solo album titled, New Breed. Richard, who entered the scene showcasing her powerful vocals on Diddy’s ‘Making The Band’, continues to make a mark in the world of music. Prior to releasing New Breed, Dawn went on a successful tour with her girl group, Danity Kane, made an appearance on HBO’s ‘Insecure,’ released ‘Dreamer,’ which is off The Adult Swim Singles Series, and dropped a video for ‘Jealously’.

Dawn brings us closer to her world on the singer’s latest project as New Breed welcomes fans into her New Orleans upbringing such as hanging out at her favorite spots, eating Snowballs, hanging with non-judgmental people, you know, the life before the fame. The songstress also touches on finding her strength as a woman.

New Breed is a solid 10-track album. Within days of it’s release, the soulful album hit the number one spot on iTunes in five countries including the US, UK, and Canada. Three days after the release, New Breed was sold out on all formats (tape, CD & vinyl) on Bandcamp as her team preps to re-press copies.
