The Sincerely, Vee Show! The End of A Chapter....
This has been one of the hardest decisions career-wise i’ve made. Over the past couple of months i’ve cried over it and i’ll probably shed a few more tears as I write this. I am sad to announce the end of The Sincerely, Vee Show.
Back in 2014, with the support of eTV, Mr. Ernest Boateng, Mr. Edward Boateng, JOT Agyeman and my team, I launched the female empowerment show, The Sincerely, Vee Show. At the time of launch besides Gifty Anti’s Standpoint, SV was the only female-related show in the 18-45 demographic. SV was actually birthed 10 years ago on YouTube from my living room and it was a dream to finally have it air on national television. The likes of Gifty Anti, The current First Lady of Liberia Jewel Taylor, Zilla Rockstone, Anita Erskine, Nigeria’s sweetheart Toke Makinwa, just to name a few, honoured our invitation to share their stories on my platform.
After leaving eTV, it became a rollercoaster ride in continuing to produce content which became extremely draining but I still had the ultimate vim to keep The Sincerely, Vee Show running. Trust me, I shot content that never saw daylight but I won’t dwell on that. I’ve cried tears of joy and sadness but that’s very normal when you are so passionate about something you created from scratch and it’s your baby.
Over the past two and a half years, my life completely changed as I became a mom. My outlook on life and my career naturally shifted towards a new direction; motherhood.
Although I am closing the chapter on The Sincerely, Vee Show, I shall continue to support young girls through my Focus on Your Education Fund; an initiative under The SV Foundation. The SV Foundation is the umbrella for all my initiatives, so my NGO is here to stay forever and ever. For those who were excited about the content I shot last year, sometime during the year, I will have them up on Youtube but from today, I will not shoot any new episodes of The Sincerely, Vee Show.
In order for me to fully submerge myself into what lies ahead career wise, I had to make this decision and as I said in the beginning, it has been one of the hardest decisions i’ve ever made.
I want to elevate my audience on another level. I want to contribute to society on another level and it comes with growth.
Back in 2017, under the Sincerely, Vee Foundation, I launched The Post Pregnancy Boujie Express, which supports financially strapped mothers to receive the education, love and support they deserve and over the past few days, if you follow me on social media, you’ll notice The Modern Day Mom. The Modern Day Mom is an extension of The Post Pregnancy Boujie Express.
Becoming a mom has opened my eyes wider to the needs of MOTHERS. Launching The Post Pregnancy Boujie Express has me researching day in and day out and creating innovative ways and platforms so no mother is left behind.
In the next few weeks, The Modern Day Mom will be fully launched. I’m beyond excited and anxious to unveil what i’ve been working day in and day out on.
God’s plan is definitely bigger than my vision.
To everyone who has supported me over the years, I am thankful. Your words of encouragements, tweets, DM’s, have a warm place in my heart.
Make sure you are following @postpregnancyboujieexpress and @Vanessa_gyan on instagram. There’s so much exciting news i’ll be sharing over the next few days, weeks, months.
