GHastro. Fine Dining in East Legon!

Listen, I’m a foodie. A true foodie. I love food. I love good food. So, I’m always searching for fine dining in Accra, Ghana.  I recently saw a friend tweet about GHastro located in East Legon and because I know this friend loves good food like me, I knew this restaurant would most likely blow my taste buds out of this world.

Two days later, I made my way to GHastro. The first thing I noticed was the serene ambiance, the beautiful furniture and the smiling waiters/waitresses who were eager to seat me.  I spotted an empty table in the corner and made my way there.

As I sat down, I ordered glass of champagne as I read through the menu. From coconut rice, seafood pasta to chicken wings, I wanted to indulge in everything I saw on the menu.  I opted for the seafood pasta and let me tell you, I was not disappointed.   The right amount of pasta, delicious sauce and they were not stingy with the seafood.

It was the perfect lunch after a long meeting.  Hours after, I was beyond full but a happy full. Guess what? I went back the next day.  This time around I tried the coconut shrimp and calamari. DELISH. I opted for something light as I had eaten a heavy breakfast. I also ordered wings to take home for my son and all that remained were the bones meaning it’s been approved by my son, Aaron.

GHastro is perfect for lunch, meetings, date night or even a girls night out. They have both inside and outside seating with a bar also situated outside.  The restaurant is owned by a married couple who are returnees with the wife, Maame, as lead Chef. Her culinary touch is finger licking good.

Oh, how could I forget about their deserts? The fruit bowl is also a winner along with the mango sorbet among other yummy, yummy mouthwatering deserts.
